For hiking enthusiasts

Whether a short walk, trekking or hiking tour – our Hotel Mondschein is a wonderful starting point for your journey into the nature.

Indoor: At 16 m, it is the highest climbing facility in Italy. The Dolomit Arena is only 700 m away from our hotel. You can also enjoy mini golf or tennis here.
Outdoor: Via ferrata routes abound in the great outdoors, such as the one that leads to the Rotwandspitze, the Alpinisteig, the Pioniersteig to Monte Piano and many more…
Climbing garden: Variety & thrills can be found in the climbing garden in Dobbiaco and Sillian.

Exploring by mountain bike

For Sunday cyclists, bikers & co. There’s a bike hire shop just 500 m from the hotel where you can choose the perfect bike for your adventure! And then it’s off to Lienz, Bruneck or cross-country through fields, forests and a good snack on the alpine pasture? For those who prefer an adrenaline rush, the best thing is to try the notorious Stone Man Trail … not for the faint-hearted!

Other summer activities

Riding: In summer you can trot, canter or ride in a carriage through the romantic Fiscalina Valley at the Kramerhof and Unterlanerhof riding stables, both here in Sexten.
Swimming: Refreshing fun is available in the outdoor swimming pool 700 m from the hotel, or in the indoor swimming pool Acquafun in San Candido (7 km).
Flying high: He who dares and is brave enough can join in on a tandem flight leaving the Helm mountain by paraglider.

Winter activities:

3 Peaks Dolomites ski area:
100 kilometres of pistes for all levels on the Helm, Rotwand, Stiergarten, Haunold and the Val Comelico ski arena.
Pustertal ski region:
If 100 km of pistes are not enough, make the most of the HolidayPass* and take the Ski Express to Kronplatz with a further 119 kilometres of pistes.
Dolomiti Superski:
The ski regions of the Sexten Dolomites and Kronplatz are members of Europe’s largest ski association with 12 ski areas and 1,200 kilometres of pistes.
Skiing for families and children:
The Waldheim lift is only 400 m away. Perfect for children, families and beginners.
Ski rentals:
You get a 10% online discount at Sport Kiniger ! Other ski rentals directly at the slope and at the Tabaktrafik.
Cross-country skiing in Sexten:
The main cross-country ski run, which leads into the Fischleintal Valley and towards Innichen, can be easily reached on foot from our hotel (300 m).
